Cancer is the leading cause of death for adults in the United States. At Tocagen, we believe that no one should die of cancer. We believe cancer should be a manageable disease, and that long term remission or even elimination of disease is possible. We are dedicated to finding new treatments to bring new hope to people with advanced cancer. Tocagen is initially focusing on treatments for brain cancer patients for whom no adequate treatment currently exists. We believe the founding technology of the Company will allow us to develop drugs which will be more effective, with fewer side effects, than many current conventional cancer treatments.
